The 2025 Formula One season promises to be a busy one, not only due to changes in the calendar and team line-ups, but also because of recent events that are attracting the attention of fans and experts.
Lewis Hamilton’s move to Ferrari
One of the most discussed events was the confirmation of the transition of seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton to the Ferrari team. After more than a decade with Mercedes, Hamilton has decided to take on a new challenge and join the Scuderia in 2025. In a live broadcast, he explained his decision with a desire for new achievements and a desire to bring Ferrari back to the top of the championship.
Changes in team line-ups
Red Bull Racing: The team confirmed that Max Verstappen’s teammate for the 2025 season will be Liam Lawson. The team management expressed confidence in his potential and ability to support Verstappen in the fight for the title.
Mercedes: After Hamilton’s departure, the team announced the return of Valtteri Bottas as a reserve driver. Bottas, who previously drove for Mercedes, has expressed his willingness to support the team in the transition period.
Williams: Carlos Sainz officially became a pilot of Williams, expressing gratitude to his former teammate Charles Leclair and the Ferrari team for the joint work.

Sergio Perez will remain at Red Bull.

Technical and regulatory changes
Head of Red Bull Christian Horner noted that next season it will be difficult for teams to allocate resources because of the transition to the new regulations. He emphasized the importance of strategic planning to remain competitive.
Return of the South African Grand Prix
The South African government has announced a search for a suitable track for the return of Formula One to the country. The event could expand the championship’s geographical reach and attract new fans on the African continent.
Preparations for the 2025 season
Teams are actively preparing for the upcoming season. Ferrari announced the date for the presentation of the new car, and Carlos Sainz held farewell races at Ferrari with his father, ending the stage of his career in the Italian team.
These changes promise to make the 2025 season one of the most exciting in recent years, bringing new intrigue and momentum to the championship.
